I am the Great Cornholio. I need TP for my bunghole!

Ha! Hudson is such a jokester and loves to be silly....I'm sure that I must have mentioned that before, but if you know him, then you should already know what I am talking about. This child truly is FUN and loves to play, laugh and do anything completely SILLY! He's also a total ham and camera hog, but that's another story altogether. If telling you this isn't enough proof, just check out the pic below for the cold-hard evidence yourself!

This would be Hudson after dinner a few nights ago! Apparently, when David and I went to take the dishes to the kitchen after dinner Hudson decided that he was going to strip and put on a little comedy show for us. Good thing he didn't go for the "Full Monty", ha! In any case, I thought I must not let this moment go by without capturing it on film to one day show his potential girlfriends! In true Beavis and Butthead fashion, he had somehow channeled the spirit / altar ego of the Great Cornholio!!! What a hoot! My little boy makes me laugh and smile like I never have before and this is just one little reason why. :)

We should have named him Crash....

Hudson is getting more active than ever and gave us a little scare over this past weekend. We had just sat down to watch some Project Runway after a long day of shopping and errands and Hudson in his usual form, decided that he wasn't quite ready for bed yet. Well, he was running around playing in the living room, dancing to the music on tv, chasing Bailey around the room....when all of a sudden...BAM! He had been running across the floor and tripped causing him to crash face first into one of our end tables. Obviously, we were both in shock and David actually had tried to catch him when he fell towards the table, but was unsuccessful in his attempt. My poor baby was crying hysterically and then I saw blood...I thought I was going to pass out! I went into full panic mode and helped David clean up his battle wounds and all during this time we thought we were about to literally have to spend the night in the emergency room because it looked like he had pierced through his lip / chin area with two of his front teeth! Thankfully, that was not the case and the cuts were just superficial and stopped bleeding within minutes of the accident. In true Hudson fashion, he was laughing, playing and being his usual self within 15 minutes or so of his first real "crash". Here are some pictures from just a short time after it happened....grins, giggles, battle scars and all!

I'm a bad blogger!

I just wanted to out myself and completely apologize for my lack of attention to our family blog. I just started this blog a little over a month ago and due to the craziness that is my life, I have neglected this blog in a really bad way. With that being said, I promise to try to be better about posting in the future. :)

I Love You Momma....

The four most beautiful words in the world..... and HE said them to ME!

This morning Hudson was up in our bed as he has had a real problem lately with waking up in the middle of the night wanting to get in bed with mommy and daddy. Well, he was snuggling up to me, as he often does, and it was just about time for me to get up for the day after hitting my snooze button countless times. (I have a hard time getting out of bed most mornings because I am a night owl!) Out of nowhere and much to my surprise
, these precious four words came out of his mouth. "I love you momma."

I just about lost it!
Lying there with my little boy, his arms squeezed around my neck and his soft little cheeks pressed again mine, I couldn't believe he had finally said the four little words I have been waiting for him to say for what seems like ages. In my mind it was as clear as day, even now as I telling this story for at least the third time today I have no doubt in my mind that he did say it....it might not have been the clearest phrase ever....in fact, in all "true" actuality he could have really said "I'm hungry momma." OR "blah, blah, blah momma.", but in my mind, today was the day my little boy finally returned those loving sentiments that I had been longing to hear.

It's quite likely that he won't say it again for 3 months, maybe even 6, but you know what, it doesn't really make a difference to me in the least because I will be just as excited the next time that he says it...whether it's sooner or later.
